2021.10.25 19:37 Univock I got an important question about the shop!
So I read the rules thoroughly and this is on the fence of getting deleted or staying so I’m only going to ask this once. But anyway is there anyone that owns the saw bundle that could gift me it and I could gift a bundle back. I 100% would not scam for a skin in a game. But it’s not in the shop this year and figured I’d ask here because I don’t know where to ask. Thanks and have a great day! (:

2021.10.25 19:37 Rentauskas Thoughts on Collecting
| I (M47) have been collecting music since I was about 9 years old. First on vinyl, then cassettes, then CD's, and now back to vinyl for past 17 years or so. I only amassed about 5 records (vinyl) or so when I was young before going to cassettes. As a kid, cassettes were far more affordable and I could use them in my walkman. I ultimately collected about 300 cassettes and eventually got rid of them all. My freshman year of high school (1988) I moved to collecting CD's. I was always passionate about music and over the course of the next 20 years my collection grew to about 2500 CD's. To save space, I ditched the plastic jewel cases and began storing them in sleeves inside of DJ cases. I still have all of my CD's in storage, but haven't listened to them in about 15 years. |
Around 2003 I really got into vinyl. I had a few friends who were buying techno records and DJing parties and while I wasn't a fan of that music, we'd often go hit record stores while we were hanging out. My music addiction kicked in and I couldn't help but buy, buy, buy. I started DJing 80's nights and was able to find just about any 80's record I wanted. Often times in the $1 bin, and usually for no more than $5.00 for records in good condition. At this time I also started buying all of my new music on vinyl. Indie rock was having its moment and it felt good to support the artists and build a great collection of records. Then Jazz happened.
I had started dabbling with Jazz around 1998 (while buying CD's) and now I was buying Jazz on vinyl as well. My total collection had grown to about 1000 records in roughly 3 years. Then one day in 2006, I bought someone else's collection. It was about 3000 records which put me at 4000. I will NEVER do that again! It was horrible. They were everywhere. My entire house was full of records. I began the long arduous task of sorting , cleaning, resleeving, and the worst part, getting rid of the ones that I didn't want. There were a lot of shitty records in there.
Over the course of the next 2 years, I learned a valuable lesson. At first, I would load my car with about 6 crates of records and bring them around to every record store in Chicago. Some places would take a 15-20 of them, some would take none at all. I usually took the money in trade, so sometimes I was bringing even more records home. I did this over and over again and it was exhausting and I spent more on gas hauling them around than it was worth. Next, I tried posting on Craigslist and the like offering records for dirt cheap. Like $10 for a crateful. This also didn't work well, with people coming and taking only 1 or 2 of the records and not the whole crate. My final solution was waiting for a beautiful day and then putting piles of records in the alley. They were quickly gone and best of all, someone else's problem.
After several moves, stints in storage, etc... I've continually culled my collection down. Over the years, I've gotten rid of records I no longer listen to and I'm curating my collection in a different way than I ever have before. I want to be able to pull any record off of my shelf regardless of genre and enjoy listening to it front to back. Do I need a copy of Bobby Brown's Don't Be Cruel? Am I just going to listen My Prerogative and then take the record off the turntable and change it. Maybe you do, but I don't. IMHO that's what Spotify is for.
I see many new collectors posting their "hauls" on this sub and while I understand everyone has their own taste in music I feel like I see a lot of future "dollar bin" records in there. My advice to new collectors (and you don't have to take it) is to save your money and buy those gems. Those records that you can listen to again and again front to back. Records are expensive, take up a shit ton of space, and suck to move. If you're not sure you should buy it, give it a few listens on Spotify or whatever you use and make the call.
My collection currently stands at about 1200 records. I'll bet there are about 100 I could easily cull out right now (although they're no longer "garbage records"). My shelving could hold about another 800 for a total of 2000. I think that's where my collection will end. I'd probably go 1 in 1 out at that point.
Keep on collecting!
Here's my collection as it stands.

2021.10.25 19:37 caliwanab33 Post Shingles on testicles 27male
This is super embarrassing but any help is welcomed. I just got married 2 months ago and I’m looking forward to to having kids. I don’t know looking at my ball sack that I might be having mild flair ups. I know at the moment it’s uncomfortable but it’s at the same spot where I had the shingles which was 2 years ago due to stress. I don’t know what to do because I really want to have kids with my wife and if I can’t have any kids my life would be turned upside down. Seeking any type of experience help since specialist doctor visits are crazy expensive. Or how to carefully reduce any discomfort - because I know it’s not the level of pain I had to deal with on shingles but just a concern. I want to be respectful as possible so I didn’t post a picture of what shingles I had 2 years ago vs what might be a flair up now. Let me know if you went through shingles on your ball sack please.

2021.10.25 19:37 muddlebrainedmedic Spotted around 20,000 CCi #41 for $7.86/box at the local farm big box. Sales guy said it's the first primers they've seen in 8 months. I was tempted to buy a ton of them, but felt like I should leave some for the next guy. Tell me I'm not a fool please. Tempted to go back...

2021.10.25 19:37 airaK_666 This is why people think kpop is weird...
We cannot go one day without something like this happening. Actually, let me put it into words to make it sound even more ridiculous- Jooheon, Hyungwon, and Youngjae played a game at Idol Radio where they had to put their fingers up and "find" each others' "bust points". And if you win, it's "docked successfully". Like please, what is thisss? And why is this NOT their first time playing this???
We have Felix having humans as his favorite dish, Eric running after and getting chased by cameras, YoungK just knowing that he's delicious, Changkyun doing whatever this is, Taemin broadcasting his poor manager's personal life to everyone watching, and Jinyoung almost threatening a viewer on a live (hi Clare Berry Kate, if he hasn't hunted you down yet).
And Jaebeom? Sir you ate a bug candy, knowing exactly what you were eating, and were still surprised when it turned out to be an actual bug?? I can't even get past the time you showed us how you poop. Speaking of, we also have Ryujin telling us how to properly poop, and even confessing to drinking toilet water with a teaspoon (
ig we know who her GOT7 bias was)
And secondhand embarrassment? Seungkwan says hi... to Twice. I'm sorry but it was hilarious seeing him freak out over this while knowing that the Twice members probably don't even remember it. And I will never not cringe at this regular huh. Like whyyyy? What prompted this? Whyyyyyy?
Bangtan, I really really love you guys but I'm also very confused. If I ever saw J-Hope scream like that with a toilet roll in his hands, I would leave the country. And Jin here gives me the same vibes as Yugyeom in Dream Knight doing who knows what. For real though these VCRs are something else. GOT7's This Love VCR is just another breed of "I can't look at this please make it stop". I will forever be haunted by Youngjae's lips so close to the camera going "sTyLe".
And acting? Idols should get awards for this. I mean look at GOT7 turning a kiss punishment into a kdrama not once but twice. Poor Bambam. And this Monsta X drama is everything I've ever wanted. It doesn't stop here of course, because Hyungwon as a unicorn is a must watch- man was so excited to kick Kihyun and it shows. Baekhyun exposing Exo's private business like there's no tomorrow is worthy of a movie too.
And please tell me I did not just watch Hoshi growl at the screen for 30 whole seconds, unasked, or saw a bunch of kpop fans barking at a concert.
What has my life become...

2021.10.25 19:36 mandalallamaa Done with toxic people posting false information about covid vaccine on here!
Please keep your poison off this subreddit! There's is NO evidence that getting the vaccine causes miscarriage or fertility issues. We conceived within days of both me and my husband getting vaccinated. Now I'm 6 months and baby is healthy! No issues! There are however MANY instances of miscarriage or pre term birth from unvaccinated pregnant mothers who were very sick with covid. And also cases of BOTH the mom and baby dying from being sick with covid. So stop instilling fear into people and making them question doing the right thing for themselves, their baby and for all of humanity. It's because of all you anti vaxxers that people are still dying from this disease

2021.10.25 19:36 liamsnorthstar I really love the viability of linear fusions this season in PvP. Particle Deconstruction would be sweet if it could roll as a weapon perk...or at least a lesser version of it.
Text. Particle deconstruction has made running my linear in endgame content a lot of fun and I really am enjoying it. A lesser PD might be a fun weapon perk to roll in some different linears.
